نظمت شركة جارمكو محاضرة توعوية حول مرض سرطان الثدي بالتعاون مع الاتحاد الحر لنقابات عمال البحرين، بحضور حميع موظفات الشركة وذلك ضمن الحملة السنوية للتوعية من المرض والتي تركزت على توعية موظفاتها حول مخاطر المرض، وأهمية الفحص الدوري وكيفية الوقاية من مرض سرطان الثدي.
وتحدثت الأستاذة شهد الساعي عن المرض وكل ما يتعلق به من إحصائيات وأسباب حدوث المرض وأهمية الوعي الذاتي بخطورة المرض بما في ذلك تعريف الفحوصات المطلوبة للكشف المبكر وطريقة الفحص الذاتي والفحص السريري بما يسهم بدرجة كبيرة في الشفاء من المرض.
وتعكس هذه المبادرة التزام جارمكو بصحة ورفاهية موظفاتها، وتعزيز الوعي الصحي، وحث الموظفات اتخاذ الخطوات اللازمة للكشف المبكر والوقاية من سرطان الثدي.
GARMCO organized an awareness lecture on breast cancer in collaboration with the Bahrain Free Labour Union Federation (Al Hurr). The lecture was attended by all the company’s female employees as part of the annual campaign to raise awareness about the disease. The focus was on educating the employees about the risks of breast cancer, the importance of regular screenings, and methods of prevention.
Ms. Shahad Alsaei spoke about the disease, providing statistics, discussing its causes, and emphasizing the importance of self-awareness regarding its severity. This included defining the necessary screenings for early detection, explaining self-examination techniques, and highlighting the significance of clinical examinations, which greatly contribute to recovery from the disease.
This initiative reflects GARMCO’s commitment to the health and well-being of its female employees, while promoting health awareness and encouraging them to take necessary steps for early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
