Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill (GARMCO), the Bahrain-based international aluminium rolling mill and one of the largest downstream aluminium facilities in the Middle East, concluded today its Safety Week for the year 2019 which runs between April 16 to April 18.

The campaign included a series of safety awareness activities given by external senior lecturers and doctors, in addition to free medical check-up for all employees.

The safety awareness week reinforces the Health and Safety rules and guidelines, related key performance indicators, job safe practice training, and preventive campaigns which are conducted on a regular basis at GARMCO. The site is fully-equipped with a health center and fire station; and regular medical check-ups for staff, and fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises, are conducted. Further to that, appropriate protective equipment is provided in areas where there may be a risk of injury or exposure to hazardous substances or conditions.

Commenting on the Campaign, Mr. Mohamed Essa, General Manager at GARMCO said, “GARMCO is committed to emphasizing safety principles and regulations in the workplace as we are concerned about the safety of our employees.
